Questions to Ask When Purchasing Dog Sports Mats!

Our customer service team has prepared the following questions for individuals looking to purchase flooring for their training facility.   I hope they are helpful.  Please feel free to send us your questions or add to our answers.

1.How will you use the facility?  Agility, obedience, flyball?  How much traffic do you have through your facility each week?  Choose a mat that is compatible to the work conditions.

2. Material.  Mats are made of many different types of materials including: vinyl, rubber and artificial turf. Having an experience with each of the various options available will help with your decision making process.

3. Size & Thickness.  Mats for dog training facilities come in different sizes as well as thickness.  The thinner the mats are the more cost effective they become;  however, thinner mats are best utilized in places with light activity.  Rolled products come in various widths of 2,3,4 and 6 ft.  Keep in mind the larger the width the heavier the product and the more difficult it will be to handle.

4. Weight of the product. Know the weight of the product. Heavier products may require installation assistance.  You can also expect higher shipping cost.

5. Shipping and receiving.  Cost can vary widely.  If you don’t have access to a receiving dock, a lift gate may be required which can add cost to freight charges.

6. Maintenance.  How do I clean the mats?  Our mats can be cleaned with a mild detergent and water.

7. Warranty.  What is the product warranty?  Crown Mats and Matting warrants new products against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year when maintained as instructed in our Use and Care product information sheet.
